Hello everyone!
I received the best news on Monday of this week!!
As most of you ladies know we have certain preventative health exams that we do to be sure we are cancer free. On Thursday of last week at one of my first preventative screenings, I got some unexpected news - a "shadow" on the film that needed "further evaluation." An ultrasound was scheduled for Monday to do further evaluation. I had a friend accompany me that day to the appointment.
I won't lie. I was a bit nervous. I knew only 6%-7% of women have cancer-like abnormalities, from reading of course over the past few days. I knew God had this regardless of the outcome yet there is still that part of you that wants to know what you are dealing with.
At 3 pm Monday I had my answer and it was good news! It was only a cyst. The radiologist was underwhelmed she said. This would disappear on its own. My friend Shari was ecstatic for me. I immediately shared my news with other good friends and cried happy tears. I prayed and praised and thanked God for how good He is. And you know what? He would have still been good even if the news had not been good because He is not the author of bad things.
I am thankful for good health. I am thankful for good friends. I am thankful for and to, to borrow the phrase, a good and beautiful God!!
