Heartbroken

Hello everyone.
I was going to write about something personal today, however, with all the pain and turmoil in our nation in the last several weeks, I wanted to address the issues at hand. I also want to encourage each of us to act in small ways as true peacemakers during this time.
First and foremost, I am heartbroken for the family and friends of Renee Good. No one should be shot for getting upset about what is happening in their community. So many things went wrong there. I am heartbroken for the Jackson family and others who have sustained injuries during protest disturbances they were not apart of. I am equally heartbroken at the Trump administration and ICE's callous handling of these situations. I call on the Trump administration and leaders of ICE to repent for the unrighteous callousness of this campaign and turn back from methods that are ungodly, serve the god of fear, and obviously not working! I call on ICE to re-evaluate how peaceful protesters are encountered and to expressly forbid the intimidation of peaceful protestors (I never thought I'd have to say that). I also call on ICE and DHS to hault recruiment so that training and hiring can be improved so there are no repeats of what we are seeing in Minneapolis and St. Paul. I call on our federal courts and our Supreme Court to scrutinize these policies further! These agencies and leaders are accountable to We the People, not unto themselves.
I also call on Minnesotans and all Americans to PEACEFULLY and RESPECTFULLY protest and let their voices be heard about this UNRIGHTEOUS immigration policy. Do not give into those who wish to goad you into violence or confrontation no matter who they are. Violence does not serve us, it does not unite us against unrighteousness. Violence only causes more pain and division. Violence further advances the cause of unrighteousness and evil. Choose not to participate.
I would ask all of us to think critically and use social media wisely. Not everything you see is real. Not every story is true. Not every photo you see is original. There can be an agenda. Use the critical thinking skills God has so graciously given you and make informed decisions. Do not be manipulated nor give anyone a show. And most of all, do not be afraid! Righteousness always wins and it will win this time too!
I call our national media to righteousness, truth, and repentance! Do not think from one minute that God will honor lies nor those who tell them.
For the love of respect, decency, and the freedom of religion that we all value, stay out of houses of worship with protest, any house or worship; Christian. Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddist, etc. People are there for their mental and spiritual well being amidst all this chaos. Have the respect to leave them in peace. If you can't do that, it's time for some introspection and a spiritual check of your own heart.
And last but not certainly not least, I call on the American Church to repent and call right, right and wrong, wrong. Do not give into the idols of this age! They will take everything from you.
I will close with a verse that has given me great comfort in the past several weeks. This verse speaks to the end of unrighteousness and evil:
Hosea 13:3; Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears, like chaff swirling from a threshing floor, like smoke escaping through a window.
Take heart and do not be afraid!! Love conquers fear every time!
Love,
Elizabeth
