Choose Faith not Fear

Hello everyone!

Have you every been afraid? I know I have. Did your fear get you anywhere? Did it change your situation? I am going to guess the answer to both of those questions is a resounding “No.”

The problem with fear is, it can not produce faith. It can only produce more fear. I have heard fear described as False Evidence Appearing Real. In my life experiences, I have learned that 100% of the time fear simply is not based on reality. It is based on the “what if’s” and “what could be’s” of life. Fear has no basis in fact. It simply twists the facts, hence it appears like fact therefore it appears “real.”

I choose faith not fear! Faith produces more faith. Faith does not require that I see an immediate result. Hebrews 11:1 describes faith this way: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” In other words, faith says things will change! I don’t have to be afraid. I may not see the situation change right away, but by faith I will see it change. Faith sees the facts. Faith does not deny the facts. Unlike fear, faith sees God’s extraordinary abilities to change the facts.

Choose Faith today and everyday! And remember God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, of power and of a sound mind! (2 Tim. 1:7) We don’t have to be afraid!

Until next time,

Beth
