Hello everyone!
I had a great get-together with a group of ladies from my church today. We are calling ourselves the Singled Sisters. This was our first meeting to get to know one another. We are women from all walks of life and all ages who have been divorced or who are widowed. The wonderful thing about this group of ladies is we choose not to identify with those labels society has placed on us. We choose to identify as God's daughters. We know who we are and that we are greatly loved. We will be meeting monthly to have fun and encourage one another as we walk in the new things God has for us. We each got to share our story today and what we have learned about those journeys. We encouraged one another. I learned so much from these women today! I even got to share about my book!
I want to encourage all of you out there to not identify with the labels others place on you. That is not who you are. You are God's sons and daughters and He loves you no matter what has happened in your life or what you have or have not done. He has great things for you, plans you do not know and I promise you they are amazing! He will open doors you have never imagined just as he is doing for me now!
We are two weeks from the new year tomorrow. In this new year, walk in who God says you are, not in who others say you are. He knows you better than anyone and he loves you no matter what. You are his daughter. You are his son. You already have everything you need!
I will leave you with a verse to ponder:
Jeremiah 29:11; "For I know the plan I have for you says the Lord, not to harm you but to give you a future and a hope."
