Hello everyone!
We read about a lot of awful things in this country and in other places around the world. Granted, some of the things taking place in other parts of the world are far worse than they are here.
I would like to propose something new to you. Don't just read about it, do something about it. I don't care what it is that plagues our nation or this world- human trafficking, drugs, violence, hatred, war....we all have a voice and we all can do something about the evil in this world. Yes, it might cost us something - time, money, people understanding us, comfort, the list goes on. Frankly, I have arrived at a place where I don't care what others think anymore. I also believe safety has become highly overrated in the church world as a whole. Dark places aren't safe and they still need His Light - both victim and victimizer need Jesus.
For my part, I am going to do something about human trafficking. The time has come for me to stop reading about, throwing money at it and praying about it and start doing something! Now will I still keep up with what is happening? Yes. Will I still keep praying? Yes. Will I still keep giving? Yes. Those are all important but at some point we have to take His next step. I took my next step last night.
What is God stirring in you? What has He laid on your heart to do in the dark places of this world? Take His next step. Stop reading about it and do something about it! There is a world of people waiting for someone to see them, to hear them, to help rescue them! What are you waiting for?
